The PCL-747 intelligent 8 to 32 port RS-232 controller provides excellent serial I/O performance at moderate cost per user. You can install up to four PCL-747s in your computer for a total of 128 ports.

The PCL-747 consists of a control card housed in the host computer, a CPU module and up to four UART modules. The processors on the control card and CPU module work together to decrease the workload of the host CPU and increase system throughput. An RS-422 synchronous channel links the control card with the CPU module and UART module. Additional UART modules link in a chain to the first UART module, each providing eight ports. You can monitor the status of any port with the diagnostic LEDs located on the CPU module.

The PCL-747 comes with software drivers for DOS and Windows (PC-ComLIB). These drivers support most common languages, including C, Pascal, Visual Basic, Quick Basic, Assembly and Clipper. The PC-ComLIB package also includes DataScope with data viewing, terminal emulation and self diagnostic utilities for easy troubleshooting and debugging.
