Introducing the next generation of mobile
connectivity with the new USB to PCMCIA Adapter (PCD-X/U142-E). Increase
productivity and maintain contact with clients while on the road with
Quatech’s PCD-X/U142-E. PCMCIA
card drives allow PCs to access the technology used in laptop, notebook
and handheld computers, as well as 3G wireless Internet modem cards.
This facilitates easy data sharing between portable and desktop systems
via memory cards or hard disk cards, and sharing of portable peripheral
devices such as wireless modems, serial port cards and parallel port
cards.
Quatech's USB to PCMCIA Adapters enable
desktop and laptop PCs to wirelessly access the Internet anywhere using
a broadband wireless Internet card and your USB port (Internet cards not
included).
As the successor to the U132, the new
PCD-X/U142-E USB to PCMCIA Adapter offers extended 3G broadband card
support and is compatible with U132 cards, providing a seamless
technology transition. The adapter allows the use of a wide number of
high speed broadband cards on your laptop or PC, even if your laptop or
PC does not have a PC Card slot. The PCD-X/U142-E, an upgrade to the
PCD-X/U132-E, allows you to stay connected with secure, high-speed
access. The USB to PCMCIA Adapter is designed to fit Type I and Type II
PC Card sizes. It supports 32-bit CardBus cards, now with extended
support. U132 adapters are only available while supplies last.
Quatech also sells and supports other
PCMCIA Card Adapters for 16 and 32-bit, internal (rear only) or external
for PCI and Universal PCI interfaces. Our PCMCIA Card Adapters allow
desktop PCs to access the technology used in laptop, notebook and
handheld computers. This enables easy data sharing between portable and
desktop systems via memory cards, hard disk cards and portable
peripheral devices.
Quatech’s PCD-B/UPCI-E and PCD-B/PCI-ST
support a wide range of PCMCIA cards including:
- wireless cards (WLAN 802.11a,
802.11b & 802.11g)
- wireless modem cards (GPRS, CDMA,
3G, etc)
- connectivity I/O cards
- memory cards
- Bluetooth
The PCI Internal drive unit can
accommodate Type I, II or III PCMCIA cards including memory cards, ATA
hard disk cards, modems, and a variety of other PCMCIA I/O devices. The
Universal PCI Low Profile drive accepts one Type I or II card. The "B"
drives accept 16-bit and 32-bit cards, making them ideal for use in
wireless networking applications. This advantage means that both an I/O
card such as a modem, and an ATA hard disk card can be used at the same
time in the same drive bay.
*NOTE:
The PCD-B/PCI-E has been replaced by the PCD-B/PCI-ST.
